Castle Forst is set in the spectacular range of mountains, named the 'Dolomites' in Northern Italy. This Medieval castle is set in a cold valley with a crashing river running through it. The grounds surrounding the castle are extensive and are comprised of fine lawn, rose gardens, orchards and shrub borders. I had the position of Head Gardener and Design Consultant and, after many years of neglect, we slowly renovated the garden into to it's current state. A very stimulating project due to the massive renovation that took place on large sections of Classic English roses (mainly 'Mary Rose') and the renovation of the shrub borders and wild flower areas.
