Castle Forst, Dolomites, Northern Italy

Castle Forst is set in the spectacular range of mountains, named the 'Dolomites' in Northern Italy. The Medieval castle is et in a cold valley with a crashing river running through it. The grounds surrounding the castle are extensive and are comprised of fine lawn, rose gardens, orchards and shrub borders. I had the position of Head Gardener abd Design Consultant and, after many years of neglect, we slowly renovated the garden into to it's current state. A very stimulating project due to the massive renovation that took place on large sections of Clasic English roses (mainly 'Mary Rose') and the renovation of the shrub borders.
